YOUNGSTERS in Kidderminster are being offered free drumming sessions as part of a programme of summer activities.
There will be two samba drumming classes, one from 10am until 12 midday on Tuesday 18 August and the second from 2pm until 4pm on Friday 28 August.
Both sessions, organised by local police in partnership with local community groups, will be held in Borrington Park in Comberton. They are free and open to all age groups.
The drumming sessions have been funded by the Comberton Tenants Consultative Committee through the Community Housing Group and organised by the Offmore and Comberton Action Group (OCAG) with the assistance of local police.
PC Sarah Brooks, from the Comberton and Offmore Local Policing Team, said: “We’re keen to support any scheme that offers local youngsters something positive to get involved in over the summer holidays.
“These drumming sessions are designed to complement the council-organised summer activities at the same venue and we hope that they will appeal to young people of all ages.”
