Hey great video, I’m trying to learn some latin/samba beats and this video really helped to break it down! Obviously latin beats can get very complex and so this is really helpful for people like myself who really want a basic samba beat to build off. Thanks again!
@cacas3000 dude fall back man, he already said that latin music wasn’t his strongest genre man…you can either take what he’s trying to teach or you can just ignore man. No needs for stupid comments jerk.
Another way to develop facility against this samba hi hat / bass drum ostinato is to practice stickings against it …. singles , doubles , paradiddles , invert the doubles and paradiddles as well … you can also use the exercises in stick control for additional facility against the samba pattern … and as always , the 8 syncopation exercises in Ted Reed`s book should be read against the samba pattern
louis, i love my mother yes u know i do right? the i love part i notice you hit the snare 3 times. sorry i am really confused, i am new to this style of playing
Nice drumming keep up the good work. Idiots are morrons from a dark aged planet, that by universal mistake were blown here by default. I’m from Puerto Rico and I disgust the comment made by that idiot. Don’t let that dick brain make you prejudice. Love your work, keep it up!!!
how is this not a pattern? what? i hate no-it-all douches like you. everyone is posting positive comments dude, you ruined it. go run out in traffic at rush hour.
put up a video so people can see how you “especialize” in latin music you arrogant prick!!! superminer66 is right learn english lessons first instead of drum lessons!!!
that is not a pattern. I especialize in latin music from salsa to timba. Your feet are following a simple samba beat while on the toms you are actually doing the tumbao patter that should go on the feet ( which is the bass line of a tumbao ). Check out some educational videos on salsa music i recommend Jimmy Branly or Sammuel Formell.
the hands are playing a very mozambique type pattern but that bass pattern is more like a samba. the bass in mozambique is called a surdo pattern, i think.
i should point out that guy is a way better dummer than me
